Our faculty work diligently to ensure that each fellow’s training experience is tailored to their needs throughout the two-year experience. Under the guidance of faculty members, fellows actively engage in various studies which are expected to culminate in a major meeting presentation and peer-reviewed journal articles. The faculty are always looking for opportunities for our fellows to participate in the national clinical trials that are ongoing at ARC. There is a strong research component as well. Throughout the program, fellows gain experience with state-of-the-art retinal imaging technologies such as spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT), fundus autofluorescence, fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography and ultrasound biomicroscopy. Our comprehensive educational program includes weekly imagining conferences focused on challenging medical and surgical retinal cases as well as quarterly journal club meetings to review current landmark studies. This kind of diverse pathology and experience enriches each fellow’s experience greatly. At ARC, subjects like pediatric retinal surgery, inherited retinal diseases, uveitis and intraocular malignancies are routine conditions we evaluate and treat. You will find that our two-year, AUPO accredited surgical fellowship provides the highest level of training in the diagnosis and management of medical and surgical disorders of the retina and vitreous. Thank you for your interest in the Associated Retina Consultants (ARC) Vitreoretinal Surgery Fellowship Program.
